I Love My New Cat, But Picking Out Her Litter Was Hard

Growing up, whenever I would visit a friend and see a cat crawl out from under the couch, I knew what would happen next: swollen eyes, sneezing, stuffed up feeling. So I never thought I’d get a pet for myself, until my husband found a hypoallergenic kitten! Siberian cats are shockingly fluffy, but produce less of the protein most people are allergic to. It was the biggest surprise ever; he found out our neighbor’s niece’s cat had hypoallergenic kittens, and he drove three hours to get one for me for the holidays.
We’re absolutely in love with our sweet Sadie; she arrived with a big bow on her collar — the best Christmas surprise ever! It was so cute when she played with the wrapping paper more than her new toys. She doesn’t irritate my allergies at all, but one big problem I had was with the kitty litter. It produces so much dust! Every time I go to replace it with new litter, my eyes start getting irritated and I don’t even want to know what it’s doing to my lungs. I talked to all my friends who own cats, most said they just have to suck it up, but one of them recommended PrettyLitter.
PrettyLitter is an extra light, odor-free cat litter with low dust, unlike anything else on the market. It’s made of absorbent crystals that don’t clump like traditional litters; it absorbs the moisture, so every day you only have to “scoop the poop!” I ordered a months supply to start, which is only a 4 pound bag. One month’s worth of kitty litter from the supermarket is over 20 pounds, so it makes a big difference.
The 4 pound bag shipped 24 hours after I ordered it, and when it arrived at my door, I’m happy to report that it was light as a feather! I dumped it into my cat’s empty pan, and really liked the bright white color. Other kitty litters already look dirty when you dump it in. I was also happy to notice my eyes weren’t watering because there was no dust kicking up! Thankfully, Sadie took right to the new litter, and after a day, when I went to take care of it, there were no clumps and no smell!
Honestly, I wasn’t looking forward to taking care of my cat’s business, but PrettyLitter helps me take care of Sadie’s health, making litter box duty a little easier. The name not only comes from the pretty white crystals, but from it’s color-changing technology. The litter’s like a mood ring for your cat, where if it changes color, you know your cat might be in trouble! The crystals react with your cat’s urine and can change colors like blue or green to indicate different potential health issues. If the litter turns reddish purple, your cat could have a potential urinary tract infection, and if it turns orange your cat could have a potential kidney issue, and so on. I’m not a cat expert, so if Sadie’s acting funny, I don’t know if it’s just her getting older. Now, I’ll be able to tell if there might be something seriously wrong and can take her straight to the vet.
Sadie and I are going to be together a long time, so I subscribed to get PrettyLitter delivered once a month every month. It makes being a cat owner easier, and means I can skip the weekly trips to the pet store. I now focus less on the gross stuff and more on finding Sadie’s favorite hiding places; she just discovered she’s the same color as the dining room chairs and loves surprising guests. If you’re sick of the ickiness of dealing with your cat’s dirty business, pick up some PrettyLitter, so you can scoop less and play more.
